The Taste of Arlington will be returning to the Ballston area next weekend.
The annual Animal Welfare League of Arlington's (AWLA) Walk for Animals is returning to Arlington next month for its 18th year. Over 500 animal lovers and their dogs are expected to take part in the fun.
The first week in May will see the return of Spring for Alexandria, a four-day festival which is dedicated to giving and helping the less-fortunate in the city of Alexandria. The festival will feature several charitable events.

Arlington County Board Chairman J. Walter Tejada kicked off his 2013 Moving Forward Together Initiative on January 17. The initiative is one to fight childhood obesity and its related health problems. He has been joined by the Arlington Healthy Community Action Coalition in this goal.
